Maple Ridge hosts first official softball practice in B.C.

Players will most likely just be engaging in individual skills development this season.

Ridge Meadows Minor Softball Association players donned their uniforms for the first time since February at Albion Park on Monday, June 22.

Softball BC has officially approved play, Innings 1 & 2 only, for Ridge Meadows Minor Softball Association, within the scope of RMMSA Return to Play Guidelines and Protocols.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE HAVE APPROVAL FOR PRACTICE AT ALBION FIELDS ONLY, AND ONLY AFTER JULY 1, 2020. ALL RMMSA ACTIVITIES MUST BE APPROVED PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT. WAIVERS MUST BE SIGNED. WE WILL BE POSTING MORE INFORMATION ON THE PROCESS IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS SO REP TEAMS (SORRY NO HOUSE TEAMS) CAN BOOK TIMES ON THE FIELD.

June 10, 2020 SBBC Guidelines and Protocols on Return to Play

Here are the steps necessary in order to be sanctioned for activity within Inning One, Two and Three
- Pass a board motion that the plan has been approved by the LSO
- Club has agreed to and signed compliance agreement
- An approved sanctioning form has been received by the LSO
- All participants have signed and acknowledged waivers and declarations
- Club registration with Softball BC

Provincial sport organizations should use these guidelines to help create and finalize their own plans.

Remember, local sport organizations should consult with their provincial governing organization to adapt and adopt their provincial sport plans before resuming activities.
