Clinic FAQs
Q - How old must a player be to register for a clinic?
Players must be at least 8 years of age to register for a clinic.
Q - Can house & rep players register for clinics?
Yes, ALL players within our Association are eligible to register for all clinics & camps listed on the website. In fact, we encourage it!
Q - Can outside the association players register for our clinics?
Yes, however, priority is given to our registered RMMSA players first.
Q- How do I register & pay for my clinic?
Registration is done online through TeamSnap. You will find a link on our website's Registration page. We accept debit and credit cards for payment only. There is a small non-refundable processing fee.
Q- Can I cancel my daughter's clinic?
Yes, if you are unable to attend a program due to circumstances out of your control, such as a medical reason or injury (determined on a case-by-case basis by our Association and a doctor's note provided), we can offer you a refund if you notify us before your session start date. However, we do charge 25% cancellation fee. The cancellation fee may be avoided if you opt for a service credit instead of a refund.
If your program has started and you can no longer continue due to circumstances out of your control, such as a medical reason or injury (determined on a case-by-case basis by our Association and a doctor's note provided), we can offer you a refund, less the sessions attended, plus a 25% cancellation fee. The cancellation fee may be avoided if you opt for a service credit instead of a refund.
Q- Can I register and attend a clinic that has already started?
Please get in touch with our clinic coordinator via the Contact form on the page to find out the pro-rated amount for the clinic.
Q- How do other associations not charge for clinics?
Other associations can do things slightly differently depending on their association policy. Associations can build the clinic cost into higher registration fees or rep fees. Other Associations bill teams individually for the clinics their players attend, and the cost is then deducted from the team's fundraising budget.
RMMSA offers 6 x 1.5-hour (9-hour) coach development technical training for all Rep teams at no additional cost. This needs to be organized through your head coach, the individual instructor & clinic coordinator. During those times, our association instructors will work with the coaching staff on technical & tactical areas of the coach's choice.
For House players, we offer reduced-cost pre-season pitching and catching clinics. Each season, we re-evaluate these offerings to house teams to provide additional support, and our Clinic Coordinator is open to feedback.
Q- If a clinic my daughter is interested in is full or you don't currently offer it, what do I do?
Contact our Clinic Coordinator, as we have a cancellation list and always want to hear feedback.
