About us
Our Mission
Established in 1978, Ridge Meadows Minor Softball Association (RMMSA) is based in Maple Ridge, BC, Canada and is one of the largest associations in BC. RMMSA is recognized by the Canadian Amateur Softball Association (Softball Canada). We are a non-profit community softball association serving the cities of Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows, for young girls aged 4 to 19 years (and boys up to 10 years), who want to learn, play, have fun and develop their softball skills within the Minor Softball League.
RMMSA is administered by a voluntary staff consisting of our President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Registrar, 6 Directors and more than 30 dedicated members that make up the association’s Executive Team. This hardworking team is elected by the association’s 700+ members during the fall Annual General Meeting. Having such dedicated staff made it possible to be the first recipient of Softball BC’s Large Association of the Year (2017) award, acknowledging our dedication and commitment necessary to operate a top-level softball club, and promote and develop softball on an ongoing basis.
A great number of young ladies who received college scholarships have played, trained and developed in our association! We credit our high turnout of college athletes to our dedicated coaching and training staff, our indoor/year-round training facility (est. 2002), and our dedicated Batting Cage.
RMMSA is proud to support Softball Canada’s Coach and Umpire Development programs recognized as worldwide leaders in the sport of softball. With annual funding provided by the Province of BC, membership fees, and sponsorship, we strive to develop new and current programs for our members, including successful Clinics, a Learn to Play Program, and Academies (elementary and high school levels).
