RMMSA is looking at creating a development-focused U11 ‘select team’ composed of mainly 2014 born players to participate in the upcoming U11 Rep Showcase tournament (as a third team alongside our current 2014 and 2015 U11R teams) hosted at Albion (by RMMSA) on the weekend of July 4-6th, 2025.![]()

This team would provide a valuable opportunity for young athletes to gain tryout and competitive experience, showcase their skills and experience a taste of ‘rep’ softball - giving them (and their families) the chance to see what being in a ‘rep’ type program might be like and giving the opportunity to see if rep softball is something they might be interested in playing in the future.![]()

We hope that this will increase player development, confidence and interest level and that it will encourage a larger pool of players to attend the first year U13A and B tryouts in the fall (2014). ![]()

The RMMSA U11 select team would likely include a tryout date. If enough interest is shown, RMMSA will seek out a coaching staff that wants to take on this group and further details will be formalized at that point. Roster size would generally be around 12 players. The commitment would be an additional ‘select team’ practice at least once per week leading up to the showcase tournament, maybe some exhibition games, and then the tournament itself - July 4-6th, 2025 (all day). There may be registration costs associated with participating - RMMSA will endeavour to keep these reasonable and in line with costs associated with the team’s participation in one tournament.![]()
